Vihara Dhamma Sundara, located at Jl. Ir. Juanda No. 223 B, Pucangsawit, Jebres, Surakarta, was founded by Sundara Husea, the owner of Sun Motor Group and officially inaugurated on March 24, 2002. The complex consists of two buildings: the main multi-story structure with a limasan-shaped roof, where the upper floor serves as a prayer hall (Dhammasala), while the lower floor functions as an office and a shop selling religious books and videos. The second building is a white temple inspired by ancient Nusantara Buddhist architecture, featuring a stupa-shaped roof. Its courtyard is paved with black stone and adorned with three Buddha reliefs on the left, right, and back sides, while two white elephant statues at the front enhance its strong Thai cultural influence. Today, Vihara Dhamma Sundara serves not only as a place of worship but also as a cultural tourism destination in Solo.
